THORChain Announces Mainnet Upgrade to v3.6.0 on May 22, Focused on Rujira Contract Checksum Update

On May 16, 2025, THORChain officially announced a minor mainnet upgrade to version 3.6.0, scheduled for around 17:00 UTC on May 22, 2025, at block height 21,210,000. This upgrade primarily updates the checksum of the Rujira contract. It is part of routine maintenance and does not include any critical fixes or consensus changes, aiming to improve network efficiency and security.

To ensure a smooth upgrade, validators are required to approve the upgrade proposal via the command line interface (CLI). The process involves running make upgrade-vote, selecting mainnet, entering the THORNode name and the upgrade proposal name “3.6.0”, and voting “yes.” Validators are advised to submit their votes on time to support the upgrade process.
