Middle East Escalation: Pakistan Backs Iran, Issues Nuclear Warning to Israel — “If You Use Nukes, So Will We”
As Israel and Iran enter a new phase of open conflict, Pakistan has taken an unusually assertive stance. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif addressed Parliament with a stark message: all Muslim nations must unite against Israel’s regional military operations. He emphasized that Israel is not acting alone but is backed by intelligence and strategic support.
Asif called for an emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to develop a collective strategy and urged all Muslim-majority countries to sever diplomatic ties with Israel immediately.
More shockingly, senior Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei revealed on state television that Pakistan has pledged a nuclear response if Israel deploys nuclear weapons. While Pakistan’s military has not confirmed the claim, its Shaheen-3 ballistic missile — with a 2750 km range — is known to be nuclear-capable and can reach all parts of Israel.
This declaration injects new volatility into an already fragile regional situation and has triggered widespread concern over the rising risk of nuclear escalation in the Middle East.
