[July 3] — On the evening of July 2, Iran held a memorial ceremony in downtown Tehran to honor those killed in the recent conflict between Iran and Israel. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and several senior officials attended the event, paying tribute to the fallen and issuing stern warnings against further hostilities.

Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri Mousavi, delivered a forceful statement: “If the enemy launches another act of aggression against Iran, our response will be even more devastating.” His remarks are widely interpreted as a direct warning to the United States and Israel following recent airstrikes.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused Israel of total reliance on Western backing. “Without support from the U.S. and other Western countries, Israel would not survive,” he stated. Ghalibaf further condemned the U.S. for not only supporting Israel but also directly attacking Iran. “Iran’s swift and resolute counterstrikes forced them to retreat in the shortest time possible,” he said.

These statements underline Iran’s firm stance and signal potential escalation in the regional conflict.
