Nanchang Tops Amap’s National Day Ranking of China’s Most Dynamic Nightlife Cities

October 4 – Fast Technology News — During the 2025 National Day holiday, Amap officially released its latest “Street Scan Ranking”, unveiling the Top 10 Most Vibrant Cities for Nightlife in China.

This year’s list celebrates cities that truly come alive after dark, with Nanchang, Nanning, Changsha, Haikou, Luoyang, Kunming, Yinchuan, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, and Huizhou making the cut.

From a regional perspective, southern cities dominated the chart with six spots, while northern cities secured four, showing a balanced distribution of nightlife vitality across the country.

Interestingly, first-tier megacities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen were notably absent—proving that China’s most dynamic nightlife scenes are now thriving in second- and third-tier cities, where local culture and community life shine brightest.

Leading the charge, Nanchang claimed the top spot, crowned as the most energetic city for nightlife during this year’s Golden Week. It also recorded the fastest growth in nighttime activity nationwide.

According to Amap’s data, Nanchang’s bustling nightlife centers around iconic areas such as Tengwang Pavilion, Wanshou Palace, Dieshan Road, and Bayi Square. For example, around Tengwang Pavilion alone, traffic congestion lasted over 13 hours per day during the first two days of the holiday, with peak periods stretching from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. — a vivid reflection of how vibrant and dynamic Nanchang’s nightlife has become this year.
