Fast Technology, October 19 — Chery Automobile recently held its 2025 Global Innovation Conference.

During the event, Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., announced that 2025 marks the beginning of Chery’s new journey toward global capital market expansion. He emphasized that Chery is upgrading its corporate governance and operational excellence to meet the standards of a Fortune Global 500 company and a truly international public enterprise.

Yin highlighted that Chery’s overseas revenue now accounts for nearly half of the company’s total earnings — and in the near future, both overseas revenue and the number of local employees abroad are expected to far exceed those in the domestic market. He likened Chery to a “global aircraft carrier” that must continuously eliminate inefficiencies, enhance operational quality, and ensure sustainable profitability through self-driven growth.

According to Chery’s roadmap, the group plans to establish 26 overseas R&D centers in the coming years, further expanding its global presence and technological capabilities.

Unlike many domestic automakers, Chery’s early investment in overseas markets has paid off — with export volumes in some months already surpassing domestic sales. It remains the only Chinese passenger car brand whose overseas sales exceed its domestic sales.

By the end of July, Chery became the first Chinese brand automaker to achieve cumulative exports of over 5 million vehicles and has maintained its position as China’s No.1 passenger car exporter for 22 consecutive years.

The latest data shows that in the first three quarters of this year, Chery Group sold a total of 2,007,768 vehicles, up 14.5% year-on-year — marking its fastest-ever climb past the two-million annual sales milestone. Exports reached 936,428 units during the same period, an impressive 12.9% increase from last year.
