As temperatures drop, many people struggle with rising blood pressure — but did you know your eyes can experience a similar issue? Eye pressure, or intraocular pressure (IOP), measures the force inside the eyeball and is normally between 10–21 mmHg.
When IOP is too high, it can lead to glaucoma, optic nerve damage, eye pain, and blurred vision. Too low, and it may cause vision loss or even eye atrophy.

How to Check Eye Pressure:

  • Clinics use flattening or non-contact tonometers; the Goldman tonometer remains the gold standard.
  • At home, gently touch your eyelid — if your eye feels hard like a fully inflated ball, your pressure may be high.

Daily Eye Care Tips:

  • Rest your eyes every 20–30 minutes by looking into the distance;
  • Avoid prolonged phone or book reading, especially in dim light;
  • Exercise moderately and sleep well;
  • See an eye doctor if discomfort persists.

Your eyes deserve the same care as your heart — keep them relaxed, and keep your world clear. 👁️🌟
