GWM’s Ora brand has officially announced that its first pure-electric SUV, the Ora 5, will begin pre-sales on November 12 at 16:30 in Baoding.

The Ora 5 made its debut on September 25, featuring a sleek “full-curved” design language complemented by a roof-mounted LiDAR unit. Buyers will have a wide range of exterior colors to choose from, including Senna Gray, Cliff White, Linzhi Red, Sailimu Lake Blue, and Sand Beige. Interior themes include Morning White, Noon Brown, and Starry Gray.

In terms of dimensions, the SUV measures 4471 mm in length, 1833/1844 mm in width, and 1641 mm in height, with a 2720 mm wheelbase. Inside, the cabin incorporates fabric mesh materials on the dashboard and door panels, paired with ambient lighting for an upscale feel. A floating central touchscreen is supported by physical buttons for intuitive operation, while the vehicle is also expected to feature a column-mounted gear selector. The hollowed-out design beneath the passenger-side dash enhances usable space and integrates a power outlet.

Power comes from a QT36TZ220001 drive motor delivering up to 150 kW, paired with an LFP battery pack supplied by SVOLT. The exact battery capacity has yet to be disclosed.
