(Hangzhou, 20th) The BWF World Tour Finals concluded the final round of the group stage today. Malaysia’s men’s doubles pairs—“Goh–Izzuddin” (Goh Sze Fei / Nur Izzuddin) in Group A and “Chia–Soh” (Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik) in Group B—both ended the group phase in third place and failed to advance to the semi-finals.

In Group A, Goh–Izzuddin faced Korea’s Seo Seung Jae / Kim Won Ho and went down in three tight games, 23–25, 21–14, 19–21. The defeat left the Malaysians with a 1–2 win-loss record, ending their campaign at the group stage.

In Group B’s final-round clash, Chia–Soh met India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy / Chirag Shetty. The Malaysians took the opening game but could not sustain the momentum, losing 21–17, 18–21, 15–21 to suffer a comeback defeat. They also finished the group stage at 1–2.

As for the qualifiers, Korea’s Seo/Kim topped Group A with a perfect 3–0 record, while Indonesia’s Sabar Karyaman Gutama / Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani placed second at 2–1 to reach the last four. In Group B, India’s Rankireddy/Shetty went unbeaten (3–0) to claim top spot, and China’s Liang Wei Keng / Wang Chang advanced as runners-up with a 2–1 record.
