Dolla’s “Good Girls Gone Bad” Concert Canceled Due to Safety Concerns and Public Sensitivity; Full Refunds to Be Issued
(Kuala Lumpur, Nov 22) The upcoming Dolla concert scheduled for December 6 at Idea Live, Petaling Jaya, has been officially canceled due to safety concerns and rising public sensitivity surrounding recent events.
SAH Entertainment and Universal Music Malaysia released a joint statement on Instagram, calling the cancellation a “difficult but necessary decision” made to ensure the safety of artists, staff, venue workers, and fans.
After reviewing all aspects—including security arrangements, technical requirements, approval processes, and operational planning—the organizers concluded that preparations could not be completed in time.
“Proceeding under such circumstances risks last-minute chaos and potential disappointment for ticket holders. Safety is our top priority, and we do not wish to present anything below Dolla’s usual standards,” the statement said.
SAH Entertainment director Sufi Rashid added that a full risk assessment indicated that pushing forward might compromise the quality of the show. Therefore, the team agreed cancellation was the most responsible decision.
All ticket holders will receive a full automatic refund, requiring no action from fans. Refund processing may take 3–4 weeks depending on banks and credit card companies.
Dolla members thanked fans for their understanding. Member Tabby wrote: “We love our iDollas. Please know we always try our best despite challenges. We’re truly grateful for your support in good times and tough times.”
The cancellation follows controversy surrounding Dolla’s music video “Question,” which some groups criticized as overly provocative. The issue prompted remarks from the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd Na’im and preacher A’sma Harun. Universal Music Malaysia has since removed the MV from all digital platforms.
