(Beijing, 16th)
Chinese actress Zhao Lusi recently announced her official contract termination with her former agency, Yinhe Kuyu (Galaxy Cool Entertainment), during her birthday fan meeting on the 9th. Unexpectedly, on the 14th, rumors began spreading online claiming that the company was suffering financial difficulties and might be facing bankruptcy. The topic quickly went viral on Weibo. In response, the agency released a statement to refute the rumors.
According to Chinese media reports, several companies that previously held shares in Yinhe Kuyu—including Shanghai Yunfeng Xincheng Investment Center and Beijing Chuangshixinhe Technology Co., Ltd.—have withdrawn from the shareholder list, and multiple board members have stepped down from their positions. This sparked speculation about the company’s financial status.
Yinhe Kuyu promptly denied the rumors, asserting that all business operations remain normal and that shareholder changes are routine commercial adjustments. The company also warned the public not to spread misinformation and stated it would “pursue full legal responsibility” against individuals who fabricate or disseminate false claims.
Meanwhile, Zhao Lusi’s new agency has been confirmed as Orca Entertainment. Her new manager is Li Wei, the former CEO of Yinhe Kuyu. Li Wei was the key figure who discovered Zhao Lusi and introduced her into the entertainment industry, and the two have maintained a close working relationship.
After Li Wei left Yinhe Kuyu in 2023, Zhao Lusi also chose to end her contract this year, marking their reunion. The recent birthday fan meeting was organized by Li Wei, during which Zhao Lusi grew emotional and tearfully expressed gratitude, saying that his support enabled her to confidently return to the stage.
