(Hong Kong, 24th) Shu Qi and her husband Stephen Fung are approaching their 10th wedding anniversary, and the topic of children has once again drawn public attention. Shu Qi recently revealed that she has always wished to become a mother but has not been able to fulfill that dream.

When Stephen Fung attended an event in Hong Kong recently, he responded openly to questions about having children, saying he fully understands Shu Qi’s feelings and is even supportive of the idea of adoption.

According to foreign media, Stephen Fung said he learned about Shu Qi’s interview through colleagues who told him what she had shared.

Speaking about Shu Qi’s longing for a child, he said he saw no issue at all: “The world is quite chaotic nowadays, and many people think about not having kids. But if everyone thinks that way, humanity wouldn’t continue. I think we should make an effort.”

When asked about Shu Qi’s openness to adoption, he answered without hesitation: “Why not?” As for whether the couple has had deeper discussions about it, he smiled and said, “She doesn’t need to tell me everything. She makes the decisions — whatever she chooses, I’ll follow.”

When reporters pressed him about their “baby plans,” Stephen Fung humorously deflected, saying: “Adoption doesn’t require as much effort,” drawing laughter at the event.
