(Kuala Lumpur, 16th) Raymond Lam’s “GO WITH THE FLOW” world tour made its stop in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday night. Mentioning that it had been “many years” since he last performed in Malaysia, he brought an evening full of sincerity — repeatedly stepping off the stage to greet fans up close, and presenting his first-ever duet with actress Kristal Tin (宣萱), exclusively for Malaysian audiences. The pair also promoted the upcoming film version of A Step into the Past. Cameo video appearances from Charmaine Sheh, Louis Koo, and the “Triad Warriors” added to the fans’ excitement.
Raymond opened the show in a striking pink hairstyle with “Love is Not Enough,” followed by high-energy performances such as “Not Done With You” and “CHOK.” He moved freely around the stage and even walked into the aisle and staircase to sing directly to fans on higher levels, creating unforgettable fan interactions.
He thanked supporters for years of companionship, referring to the sea of glowing green light sticks as his “Green Army.” He laughed that the three-sided stage made him occasionally unsure of directions, but enjoyed how fans could see him from all angles.
When guest segment arrived, Kristal Tin’s appearance brought the night to its peak. Their duet “Finding You in Memories” thrilled the crowd. Raymond said, “This is my first time singing with her on stage!” Kristal also encouraged fans to support the long-awaited A Step into the Past movie.
Kristal later performed her own solo, bringing a cheerful rendition of “Flow Non-Fly,” delighting the audience.
Throughout the night, Raymond performed classic hits as well as energetic dance numbers. Though fans jokingly hoped he would “show more,” he only briefly revealed toned arms during choreography, earning playful cheers.
During “Remember to Forget,” clips from his previous dramas appeared on screen, prompting loud fan reactions. Raymond said emotionally, “It’s been 25 years since I debuted. I hope to keep singing and acting for many more years. Thank you for staying with me.” When a fan shouted they “grew up watching his shows,” he responded warmly.
Near the finale, he returned to fans at close range before heading back onstage with a chair for a choreographed routine during “Broken,” a moment the audience had been eagerly waiting for.
