(Beijing, 28th) A severe Level 5 fire broke out at Hung Fuk Court, Tai Po, Hong Kong on the 26th, leaving at least 94 dead, including a firefighter who died in the line of duty. The tragedy shook all of Hong Kong, leading the entertainment industry to cancel or postpone scheduled events. China’s entertainment scene was also affected, with several major celebrity announcements urgently put on hold, including Yang Mi’s Prada global endorsement, originally scheduled for the 27th.

Yang Mi was set to officially announce her role as Prada’s global ambassador on the 27th, releasing photos and promotional videos at 4 PM on Weibo and Instagram. Due to the fire, she posted at 7:34 AM expressing her wishes for “the safety of Hong Kong citizens.” Her team coordinated with the brand and decided to delay the announcement.
