Streamer ‘Hyperthyroid Bro’ Sparks Outrage After Violently Damaging Humanoid Robot Rizzbot, Company Files Lawsuit for Compensation

Fast Technology reported on December 7 that popular livestreamer “Hyperthyroid Bro,” who boasts more than 50 million followers across platforms, recently broadcast a live encounter with the humanoid robot known as Rizzbot.
What initially appeared to be a routine on-camera interaction, however, quickly took an unexpected turn—escalating into a serious legal dispute.
According to recent media reports, Rizzbot’s developer, Social Robotics, formally filed a lawsuit in court last month against Hyperthyroid Bro and his production team, seeking legal accountability and compensation for the damages.
The legal complaint alleges that during the livestream, the influencer repeatedly subjected Rizzbot to violent actions, ultimately causing what the company described as “irreversible damage.”
Video evidence reportedly shows that throughout the broadcast, Rizzbot was repeatedly struck, physically restrained, forced onto a sofa, and eventually thrown to the ground, resulting in severe structural damage to the humanoid robot.
In its court filing, Social Robotics emphasized that Hyperthyroid Bro was fully aware that such conduct was completely inappropriate when interacting with a precision-engineered humanoid robot, and that he clearly understood his actions would lead to permanent and unrecoverable harm.
