(Hong Kong, 27th) Award-winning actress Carina Lau, 60, who has long been seen as one half of an entertainment-industry “model couple” alongside Tony Leung, recently opened up about what she called signs of aging on the variety show All the Way to Bloom 2. During a meal with fellow stars including Ning Jing, Cecilia Cheung, and Liu Xiaoqing, Lau candidly admitted she has been repeating herself more often and said, “I really feel like I’m getting older.”

She described moments of “blanking out”—such as walking out of a room to look for something, only to forget what she was searching for until she returned to where she started. Lau said these slip-ups made her more aware of getting older and asked others at the table if they experienced the same thing.

Veteran actress Liu Xiaoqing, 71, offered a different perspective, reassuring Lau that it may not be about age at all but rather information overload in modern life. With so many tasks, schedules, and plans competing for attention, she said the brain tends to filter out what doesn’t feel urgent in the moment—leading to temporary forgetfulness. Liu encouraged everyone not to worry too much, adding that “age isn’t the problem,” and noting that similar experiences are common even among younger people today.
