With Joshua Zirkzee likely to leave, Manchester United are planning for a potential forward replacement. Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Serie A side Roma has submitted a formal loan offer with an obligation to buy for Zirkzee. Should he depart, United may look to sign a forward next summer.

According to Africa Foot, 26-year-old Malian striker Lassine Sinayoko from Ligue 1 club Auxerre is in advanced talks with United. His contract expires at the end of this season, meaning a free transfer is possible, with a proposed deal worth €3 million—around £50K weekly. Sinayoko is a versatile forward capable of playing as a central striker or on either wing. This season, he has scored 6 goals and provided 2 assists in 16 Ligue 1 appearances.

While Sinayoko’s goal-scoring record isn’t prolific, United are also monitoring Leipzig’s 19-year-old Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, valued at £87 million. Manchester United’s transfer strategy suggests that any forward reinforcements will likely occur in the summer rather than the January window.
