Back to China League One! Wuxi WuGou Kicks Off Winter Training as Jiangsu Teams Prepare for Fierce Battles

Following the completion of debt clearance for new season eligibility, Wuxi WuGou has officially started winter training. As a newly promoted side to China League One, they earned promotion by finishing as runners-up in the 2025 China League Two season with a total record of 19 wins, 7 draws, and 4 losses, scoring 42 goals and conceding 18, joining champions Guangxi Hengchen in the top tier.

On December 27, the club released training images showing players like Kaisel Turson, Lin Jiahao, Gou Junchen, Aihemaiti Tursonjiang, Dong Kaining, He Wei, and Gao Jingchun training vigorously despite the cold. No foreign players have been spotted yet, as domestic and foreign recruitment continues. The team remains under the guidance of South Korean coach Kim Bong-gi, aiming to secure a stable position in League One.

Notably, four Jiangsu teams—Wuxi WuGou, Nantong Zhiyun, Suzhou Dongwu, and Nanjing City—will compete in China League One in 2026. With regional rivalries and talent on display, Jiangsu derbies are expected to be intense, and the hidden competition may already be underway.
