0 Wins, 7 Losses! Sichuan Men Face Tough CBA Start, Coach Focuses on Developing Young Players

On December 27, in the ongoing CBA regular season, Sichuan Men’s Basketball team suffered a 52-88 loss to Shanghai, marking their seventh consecutive defeat and leaving them as the only winless team so far this season.

Head coach Han Shuo commented after the game: “The gap in quality isn’t just reflected in the score—it shows in every aspect of the game. The team is facing difficulties, including the big foreign player only training once with us, and some key players dealing with injuries.” He added, “I repeatedly reminded the players to cherish the opportunity, but some weren’t fully prepared.”

Looking ahead, Han said: “This current situation is both a challenge and an opportunity for our young players. Once foreign players arrive, some positions may not get playing time. So this season, we will focus on developing young players in key positions and hope they seize their chance. We also have a small foreign player still completing paperwork.”

Although Sichuan Men’s 0-7 start is tough, the coach is clear on the strategy: cultivating young talent to build a stronger foundation for the future.
