BYD Flying Car Rumor Officially Refuted

Recently, rumors spread online that BYD’s high-end brand, Yangwang, would launch a flying car called Ufly, claiming it had completed a cross-sea test and could be commercialized by 2026. BYD officially denied the news. Li Yunfei, General Manager of Brand and PR, said: "This information is false! We have no such plans or arrangements," emphasizing the need to stay restrained in the face of online hype.

In reality, BYD does have low-altitude economy initiatives, such as collaborating with DJI on vehicle-mounted drones, but flying cars face major battery and safety challenges, making mass production impossible in the short term. The incident also reflects the chaos of online hype and traffic-driven content.
