The market turned choppy but gradually pushed higher in the afternoon, with both the Shenzhen Component Index and the ChiNext Index rising more than 0.5% intraday. According to the Nanfang Finance Terminal, by the close the Shanghai Composite ended slightly lower, while the Shenzhen Component gained 0.49% and the ChiNext advanced 0.63%.

Sector leadership rotated quickly throughout the session. Across the broader market, more than 3,400 stocks finished in the red.

Robotics remained the clear standout, extending its powerful rally. More than a dozen constituents hit their daily limit, with Fenglong Co. posting its fifth consecutive limit-up and Tianqi Co. notching a fourth straight. Wuzhou Xinchun, Wanxiang Qianchao, and Zhejiang Rongtai also closed at the limit.

AI applications stayed lively as well, with Kutesmart surging to a 20% limit-up.

The commercial space theme briefly spiked before giving back gains. Daye Co. secured a fifth straight limit-up, while Shenjian Co. tumbled to limit-down, and Luxin Venture Capital failed to hold its strength, slipping back into negative territory.

On the downside, Hainan-related plays and retail names led declines. The Hainan Free Trade Port theme weakened broadly, with Hainan Development falling sharply.

Turnover in the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets reached RMB 2.14 trillion, up RMB 3.2 billion from the previous trading day.

In single-stock activity, Aerospace CH Development topped the list with turnover above RMB 21.6 billion. China Satellite, InnoLight, and Goldwind also ranked among the most actively traded names.
