On January 21, Taiwanese media Economic Daily reported that OpenAI’s first hardware device is expected to be an AI audio headset (not the previously rumored smart pen), with first-year shipments projected at 40–50 million units.
OpenAI’s Chief Global Affairs Officer, Chris Lehane, stated at an Axios event in Davos on Monday that the company is moving toward the goal of unveiling its first hardware device later this year, though he declined to provide any details.
