IT Home reported on January 24 that Caijing magazine has revealed a fresh round of internal restructuring at Baidu Group. The company reportedly reorganized two of its major consumer services—Baidu Wenku (Document Library) and Baidu Netdisk—into a newly formed business group (BG).
The new unit is said to be named the “Personal Super Intelligence Business Group.” It will continue to be led by Wang Ying, Baidu Group Vice President and the former head of the relevant businesses, and will reportedly report directly to Baidu Chairman and CEO Robin Li.
Multiple sources within Baidu told Caijing that Netdisk and Wenku are among Baidu’s most successfully “AI-enabled” businesses so far. Going forward, the company is expected to build and launch new AI applications on top of these products—positioning the combined group as a new growth engine. As of publication, IT Home noted it had not yet seen an official response from Baidu regarding the reported changes.
Public information indicates that both Baidu Wenku and Baidu Netdisk previously sat under Baidu’s Mobile Ecosystem Business Group. In recent years, the two services have increasingly strengthened collaboration—especially around AI-driven feature integration—with multiple experiments already underway. Examples include jointly launched AI office and productivity tools such as “Free Canvas” and “GenFlow.”
Baidu’s latest earnings release adds context to this strategic emphasis. In Q3 2025, the company reported RMB 31.2 billion in total revenue, with RMB 24.7 billion coming from Baidu Core. Notably, Baidu disclosed AI-related revenue for the first time, indicating over 50% year-on-year growth. Within that, AI Cloud revenue rose 33% YoY, AI application revenue reached RMB 2.6 billion, and AI-native marketing services surged 262% YoY to RMB 2.8 billion.
Meanwhile, Baidu’s advertising revenue declined year-on-year in the first half of 2025, increasing expectations that Intelligent Cloud and other high-potential businesses will help power the next phase of growth. The company is pushing to expand more scalable revenue lines to improve overall mix and resilience.
In particular, subscription-based AI applications are emerging as a key focus—largely because their revenue model is viewed as more predictable and recurring. Baidu Netdisk and Baidu Wenku fit squarely into this category. According to Baidu’s disclosures, the two services together have nearly 300 million monthly active users, and they contributed meaningfully to the company’s AI application revenue in Q3 2025.
