(KUALA LUMPUR, 27th) The ringgit continued to strengthen. After rising to 3.96 against the U.S. dollar yesterday, it climbed a further 0.28% this morning to as high as 3.955—its strongest level since May 15, 2018.

The ringgit had already gained for four consecutive trading sessions against the dollar. It touched an intraday high of 3.955 earlier today, extending its rise to a fresh seven-year peak. As of 10:56 a.m., the ringgit stood at 3.9565 per U.S. dollar, up 0.24%.

Meanwhile, the ringgit also firmed against the Singapore dollar, rising 0.18% to an intraday high of 3.1181. As of 10:56 a.m., it was at 3.1229 per Singapore dollar, up 0.02%.
