On January 27, 2026, the South Korean National Table Tennis Championships concluded with champions crowned across all seven events. Olympic silver medalist Woo Sang-yeen’s son, Woo Jun-seong, claimed gold in both men’s singles and men’s team events. Chinese-descendant star Zhu Qianxi dominated the women’s singles and doubles titles. In mixed doubles, Lim Jong-hoon/ Shin Yoo-bin emerged victorious, while the men’s doubles title saw a surprise winner: the dark horse pair Woo Hyung-kyu/ Choi Ji-wook.

Champions List:

  • Men’s Team: Korea Exchange (Woo Jun-seong, Lim Jong-hoon, Ahn Jae-hyun)
  • Women’s Team: Korean Air (Shin Yoo-bin, Lee Eun-hye, Choi Hyo-joo)
  • Men’s Singles: Woo Jun-seong
  • Women’s Singles: Zhu Qianxi
  • Men’s Doubles: Woo Hyung-kyu/ Choi Ji-wook
  • Women’s Doubles: Zhu Qianxi/ Kim Sung-jin
  • Mixed Doubles: Lim Jong-hoon/ Shin Yoo-bin

Team competitions were fiercely contested. In the men’s team final, Korean Air narrowly defeated SěAH Table Tennis Team 3-2. Similarly, in the women’s team final, Korean Air edged out Pohang International 3-2. Even top players like Woo Jun-seong, Lim Jong-hoon, Kim Na-young, Lee Eun-hye, and Choi Hyo-joo experienced defeats along the way.

In singles, Woo Jun-seong narrowly beat Park Kyu-hyun 3-2, highlighting the high level of competition. Zhu Qianxi dominated the women’s singles in the absence of Shin Yoo-bin, winning the final 3-0 over Park Gae-hyun. While mixed doubles and women’s doubles titles went to strong favorites, the men’s doubles win by Woo Hyung-kyu/ Choi Ji-wook was an unexpected surprise.

With second- and third-tier South Korean and Japanese players returning to international competitions, currently competing in the WTT Doha series and preparing for the Haikou Asian Cup in February, the stage is set for the next round of top-level clashes. China’s team will face fresh challenges ahead.
