[Indonesia Masters] Straight-games win over Singapore–India pair as Jie-Wei book a semifinal spot

(Jakarta, 23rd) Malaysia’s mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie / Toh Ee Wei (“Jie-Wei”) advanced to the semifinals of the 2026 Indonesia Masters (Super 500) after defeating the Singapore–Indonesia combination of He Yong Kai and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja 21–16, 21–19 in the quarterfinals.

In the first game, Chen/Toh started strongly, opening up a 7–3 lead and going into the interval ahead 11–6. They maintained control after the break, reaching game point at 20–15 before closing the game 21–16.

The second game was tighter. After trading points to 7–7, the cross-national pair pulled ahead and led 11–8 at the interval, then extended the advantage to 13–9 and 14–10. Chen/Toh mounted a steady comeback to level at 18–18. Despite trailing 18–19 late on, the Malaysians won three consecutive points to take the game 21–19 and seal their spot in the last four.
