Hong Kong entertainer Lee Lung-kei, 75, and Wang Qingxia—36 years his junior—dated publicly for several years before ultimately breaking up, leaving many observers surprised. However, Lee has continued to speak about Wang in interviews even after the split. In his latest interview, he revealed that Wang has reportedly reached a mutual agreement to divorce her current husband. The news appeared to lift his spirits, as he emphasized that he still loves her. If the divorce is finalized, Lee suggested that a renewed relationship may not be out of the question.

According to Lee, the couple had been together for at least five years. During that time, Wang was said to have faced various controversies, including serving time in Hong Kong, yet Lee maintained a steadfast and supportive stance. The relationship later took a turn when reports emerged claiming Wang had already been married in her hometown in mainland China and had a 16-year-old son. Lee then stated he would step back, saying he did not want to violate moral boundaries given the circumstances. Now, however, he says Wang told him she had drafted divorce documents after her release in 2025, but before formal proceedings moved forward, the news about her marriage and child became public.

Although the two have separated, Lee insists he still has strong feelings for Wang and leaves room for possible developments in the future. He has repeatedly spoken in her defense, suggesting she may have had personal difficulties and family pressure that contributed to their emotional distance. Addressing reports that Wang spent the Winter Solstice festival having a reunion meal with her husband, Lee said Wang explained it was due to family considerations and the husband’s contributions to the household business.

When asked whether he would wait for her divorce and reconcile, Lee remained cautious, replying only, “We’ll see when the time comes.” Still, his comments have led many to believe he has not fully let go. Lee also admitted he had once doubted Wang’s sincerity because of their age gap, but said her repeated expressions of affection convinced him to trust her for a long time. At the same time, he acknowledged he cannot fully explain why, if she truly cared for him, she did not divorce earlier and allegedly kept her marriage and child hidden.

Wang first drew media attention in Hong Kong around 2020 as rumors about her relationship with Lee surfaced. Some reports claimed the relationship began in 2019 before Lee’s divorce from his second wife was finalized. Early on, they described themselves publicly as “friends,” before later confirming the relationship and even reaching an “engaged” stage. Wang also presented herself as talented and well-educated, but subsequent media reports raised disputes over her background, artwork, and documents, leading to legal trouble. Despite the repeated controversies, Lee has continued to say he still cares for her.
