Traini, a pet emotion intelligence startup, has raised $7.5 million (≈¥52.2 million) to launch an AI-powered collar that translates dog barks into human language. The device integrates Traini’s PEBI system, capable of interpreting 12 canine emotions and converting owner commands into dog sounds.

Founder Arvin Sun has extensive entrepreneurial experience across China and the U.S., spanning retail, e-commerce, and food delivery. The team has collected data from over 100,000 dogs to build a pet emotion database. Traini’s app already covers 2 million pets and collaborates with nearly 40,000 pet stores in the U.S.

Priced at $599 (≈¥4,167) for early buyers, the collar supports real-time translation and emotional tracking. Investors view the product as a pioneering move in the “AI + pet” market, particularly in the high-spending U.S. and European pet industries.
