Former TVB leading lady Jessica Hester Hsuan (Hsuan Jessica) has gained renewed buzz thanks to the film A Step Into the Past (尋秦記), which opened strongly in Hong Kong. In an interview on director Patrick Kong (Ye Nianchen)’s channel Meaningful, she shared behind-the-scenes stories: she praised Gallen Lo (Luo Jialiang) as hardworking and fully committed on set, joked that Nick Cheung (Zhang Jiahui) was so funny the crew could barely keep up during exhausting shoots, and said she met Louis Koo (Gu Tianle) early on when he was quiet and shy, later becoming more serious in public. She also recalled struggling to cry in Cold Blood Warm Heart (天地男兒), choosing body language instead, and later understanding Sheren Tang (Deng Cuiwen)’s advice that tears come when the feeling truly arrives.
