(Kuala Lumpur, Feb 1) Taiwanese rock band 五月天 (Mayday) brought their “5525+1” themed Back to That Day 25th Anniversary Tour to Kuala Lumpur, performing at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in front of approximately 55,000 fans.

Lead singer 阿信 (Ashin) drew particular attention by wearing a pink suit previously linked to two onstage accidents. Joking with the audience, he said, “I want to find out whether it’s the suit’s problem or mine.” The performance went smoothly, and he later tossed the suit into the crowd, symbolically breaking the so-called “pink suit curse.”

The concert featured a carefully curated setlist spanning Mayday’s career from their debut in 1999 to the present, turning the three-hour show into a musical time capsule. Band members reflected on their long-standing connection with Malaysia, describing Kuala Lumpur as a city filled with shared memories.

One of the night’s highlights came when the band rode a circular stage bus around the stadium, performing energetic hits such as “DNA” and “Party Animal,” allowing fans throughout the venue to interact closely with them.

After multiple encores, Mayday added an extra song, “Fool,” to close the night. Ashin thanked the audience, calling the Kuala Lumpur concert the final stop of the “5525” chapter and a new beginning for the band.

Special guest 蕭秉治 (Xiao Bing-Chih) also appeared and announced his upcoming Malaysia concert in July, prompting playful banter from Ashin and cheers from the crowd.
