Lao Gao and Xiao Mo are rumored to be divorcing; their marital relationship has been fully addressed.

The popular YouTube channel “Lao Gao & Xiao Mo,” with 6.71 million subscribers, paused uploads indefinitely in October last year after their dog, “Li Qi,” was diagnosed with lymphoma and was reportedly in poor condition. They said they would devote their time and energy to caring for the dog, staying in close contact with doctors and pursuing treatment, hoping Li Qi could be “surrounded by love” without fear or pain.

On January 30 this year, the channel posted a new video titled “2026, long time no see,” using white text on a black background to signal a return. However, only Lao Gao’s voice appeared in the video—Xiao Mo did not speak or appear.

In the video, Lao Gao thanked viewers for their concern and said he still doesn’t have enough time or energy to fully resume production. He hopes to restart gradually at his own pace, even if that means sharing interesting content through audio first. He added that “keeping each other company” is a meaningful part of his life. He also reflected that many important things in life may eventually be lost, so people should do their best while they still can.

Meanwhile, rumors about the couple’s marriage circulated on Threads after a comment claimed their relationship had fallen apart, sparking debate. Most viewers dismissed it as gossip, noting that Lao Gao mentioned no private matters in the video.

As for their marital status, the two previously explained during a livestream Q&A that they married in Japan, but Xiao Mo also said they did not register the marriage in China—meaning her official status there still shows “unmarried.” Lao Gao jokingly added that fans “still have a chance,” with both of them playing along in a lighthearted tone.
