(Singapore, 9th) The domain name “ai.com” was sold for a record US$70 million, making it the most expensive domain name ever disclosed globally.

The buyer is Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek, who said AI is likely to be one of the most transformative technologies of this generation over the next 10 to 20 years, making the purchase a long-term strategic investment.

Marszalek revealed that ai.com will be used to launch a consumer-focused AI agent service, with a debut planned during the US Super Bowl. The service is expected to handle tasks such as messaging, app usage, and stock trading.

He added that the vision is similar to OpenClaw, and that owning ai.com helps build trust and visibility in the rapidly expanding AI market.
