(Hong Kong, Feb 12) Based on unaudited preliminary results, Value Partners, a Hong Kong asset manager founded and controlled by Malaysian Datuk Cheah Cheng Hye, estimates its net profit surged by about 20.29 times last year to roughly HK$660 million (around RM330 million).

Assets under management rose from US$5.1 billion in 2024 to US$6.2 billion in 2025 (about RM24.2 billion). The company said the increase was mainly driven by strong fund performance, which lifted performance fee income to about HK$370 million (around RM185 million) in 2025, sharply up from HK$12 million in 2024.

For the fiscal year ended Dec 31, the group also recorded net fair value gains on investments of about HK$460 million (around RM230 million), compared with roughly HK$132 million in 2024. The company expects to release full-year results by end-March.
