In the NBA regular season, the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Utah Jazz 135-119. For Yang Hansen, however, it was a brief and challenging outing.

Yang saw limited action in the first quarter (2:16). He missed a hook shot and failed to convert a close-range opportunity, though he did draw a foul and scored two free throws. One sequence could have resulted in an and-one, but his finishing strength appeared insufficient.

His screening remains his primary contribution. When involved in structured plays, he provides solid screens that create space for teammates.

However, concerns remain in two areas:

  • Rebounding: While he boxes out adequately, he lacks the physical dominance and second-jump explosiveness needed at the NBA level.
  • Defensive mobility: His lateral speed and lower-body strength are limiting factors, making him vulnerable against quicker players.

In one sequence, Bailey used a simple pump fake to send Yang off balance before scoring easily, highlighting these weaknesses.

With the Trail Blazers still pushing for playoff positioning, developmental minutes may remain limited unless Yang shows clear improvement in defensive impact and rebounding aggression.
