Sun Hsieh-chih Holds a Wedding Banquet Do-Over, Tearfully Tells Xia Yutong: “Thank You for Coming Into My Life”

(Taipei, Feb 14) Taiwanese entertainers Tony Sun and Hsia Yu-tung, who dated for six years, officially registered their marriage last March. On Valentine’s Day, they held a wedding banquet in Taipei at Le Méridien, hosting around 40 tables and celebrating the occasion in front of family and friends. The couple kept the event private with no media photography allowed, but sweet moments from the ceremony have gradually surfaced through guests’ social media posts.

Actress Liu Han-chu shared a short clip via Instagram Stories, calling the couple’s Valentine’s wedding “so touching.” In the footage, Sun and Hsia followed the host’s instructions and shared a kiss lasting about seven seconds, then smiled at each other and playfully pinched each other’s cheeks, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.

According to on-site accounts, Sun became emotional after Hsia delivered her vows, tearing up as staff handed him tissues. Guests encouraged him not to cry, and Sun later gave an affectionate vow of his own, thanking his wife for appearing in his life and supporting him through difficult times.

Another guest, actress He Yu-wen, also posted Stories showing a mini reunion of 5566 members Hsu Meng-che, Wang Shao-wei, and Peng Kang-yu (Xiao Dao) at the banquet. When the trio came on stage, Sun jokingly said only Xiao Dao was originally scheduled, but once he saw the others walking up behind him, he knew “it was going to turn into a stand-up show,” drawing laughter from the room.

The couple reportedly arranged tighter venue access to avoid disruptions, including restricting the elevator area and reserving an entire floor for the banquet hall. A rehearsal moment also showed Hsia holding her mother’s hands while chatting and smiling, while Sun appeared slightly nervous as he checked details around them.

The guest list included numerous well-known hosts and entertainers, with many industry friends attending to witness the celebration. Several others who couldn’t attend due to schedules reportedly sent their congratulations in advance.
