Microsoft Might Add World of Warcraft and More to XGPU—Are Gamers Excited?

Jez Corden, editor at Windows Central, revealed on the podcast The XB2 that Microsoft is considering adding more third-party games and services to Xbox’s XGPU subscription to boost its overall appeal.

Since XGPU’s price increase to $30/month (approximately RMB 207.5) last October, some Xbox users have expressed concerns about value for money. Although the subscription includes perks such as Fortnite Crew and Ubisoft+ Classics, many players are looking for more popular titles.

Corden mentioned that Microsoft is evaluating the possibility of integrating World of Warcraft, Minecraft Realms, Fallout 76, and The Elder Scrolls Online’s ESO Plus service into XGPU. Whether this plan will come to fruition remains unconfirmed.

He also noted that leveraging in-house game services to enhance XGPU is a smart strategy, but Microsoft must assess economic feasibility. If implemented, XGPU’s service model may be adjusted to accommodate the new content.

Gamers are excited about the prospect, hoping to enjoy more classic and trending titles within the subscription.
