The women’s 10m platform preliminaries at the 2026 Diving World Cup in Montreal concluded. Chinese divers Cui Jiaxi and Jiang Linjing advanced to the finals and secured spots for the Beijing Grand Finals. However, two other Chinese stars—Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi—were absent, raising media concerns.

With the Mexico Sapopan stage canceled, this year’s World Cup has only the Montreal stop remaining. The annual Grand Finals will still be held at the Beijing National Aquatics Center in early May.

According to Beijing Youth Sports, Chen Yuxi, a two-time Olympic synchronized platform champion, skipped the World Cup to focus on the women’s 10m platform at the upcoming Nagoya Asian Games this fall. She is currently training at the Beijing National Sports Administration.

Quan Hongchan’s situation remains uncertain. Due to injuries and irregular training, she has yet to return to the national team. Both her career plans and future in diving have not been officially clarified.

In the preliminaries, Cui Jiaxi led the field with 381.10 points, followed by Jiang Linjing. Third-place Lu Wei could not advance due to the two-athlete-per-country rule. With the Mexico stage canceled, Cui and Jiang have also secured their Beijing Grand Finals spots ahead of time.
