(New York, 24th) Leonid Radvinsky, the controlling owner of OnlyFans and a prominent tech entrepreneur, has passed away at the age of 43 after a prolonged battle with cancer. The news was confirmed by an official statement from the platform, drawing significant attention across the industry.
In its statement, OnlyFans said: “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Leonid Radvinsky. He passed away peacefully after a long fight with cancer. His family requests privacy during this difficult time.”
Radvinsky, a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur with a background in economics and programming, was known for maintaining an exceptionally low public profile despite his substantial influence in the tech industry.
In 2018, he acquired Fenix International, the parent company of OnlyFans, from founder Tim Stokely, becoming the platform’s majority owner. Under his leadership, OnlyFans evolved from a niche content platform into a global phenomenon, boasting over 300 million users and annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.
The platform saw particularly rapid growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, as creators increasingly turned to digital monetization models.
Financially, Radvinsky had received approximately $1.8 billion in dividends since 2021, including around $701 million in 2024 alone. His net worth was estimated at $3.8 billion, making him one of the most low-profile billionaires in the tech sector.
His passing introduces uncertainty regarding OnlyFans’ future. Reports indicate that he had been actively exploring a potential sale of the platform, with valuations reportedly reaching up to $8 billion. He had also expressed intentions to donate a significant portion of his wealth following such a transaction.
With the sudden loss of its key stakeholder, ongoing negotiations, ownership structures, and strategic direction are expected to undergo reassessment.
