(Hollywood, 20th) Marvel’s highly anticipated blockbuster Spider-Man Brand New Day has taken the world by storm, with its newly released trailer amassing an astonishing 718.6 million views within just 24 hours—setting a new all-time record for first-day trailer views in film history.

According to Variety, the trailer, released on the 18th, quickly surpassed the previous record held by Deadpool and Wolverine, which garnered 365 million views. Within just eight hours, it had already reached 373 million views, and it also outperformed the trailer for the blockbuster game Grand Theft Auto VI, making it the most-watched trailer ever.

Beyond the impressive numbers, the trailer has reignited excitement among fans worldwide. The film continues the story from Spider-Man No Way Home, following Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, after his identity has been erased from everyone’s memory.

Set in a crime-ridden New York, Peter faces new pressures that trigger unexpected physical changes, while a series of mysterious incidents hint at an even greater threat looming ahead.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release this July and is expected to dominate the global box office.
