(Taipei, 20th) Taiwanese celebrity Sam Wang and Kimi Hsia tied the knot after six years of dating, registering their marriage in March last year and holding their wedding on February 14 this year. However, the absence of Wang’s mother at the ceremony sparked public speculation about family dynamics.

Addressing the issue, Hsia recently clarified in an interview that both families had been informed of all major decisions in advance, and communication had always been smooth. She explained that her mother-in-law is naturally low-profile, and her absence was simply a personal choice, urging the public to respect individual family dynamics.

Speaking about married life, Hsia shared that the couple celebrated their first Lunar New Year as husband and wife. Wang integrated naturally into her family, maintaining harmonious interactions. She joked that she became a “lucky charm” among relatives, receiving plenty of hugs during the festivities.

She also noted a shift in her relationship with her mother, who became more affectionate than usual. The two even spent NT$5,000 on lottery scratch cards—though they didn’t win, her mother humorously remarked that their luck wasn’t as strong as expected.

Regarding future plans, Hsia revealed that the couple is considering having children and has begun adjusting their lifestyle, focusing on high-protein, whole foods and maintaining a healthier routine. However, no specific timeline has been set.

On the health front, she disclosed that she was diagnosed with early-onset cataracts in June last year. While surgery is not yet required, she now takes extra care to protect her eyes and limit screen time. She also mentioned reducing her previous habit of long gaming sessions, now taking regular breaks to ease eye strain.
