Liu Haoran Accused of “Improper Visit” to Escort KTV — Fellow Actor Quickly Clarifies It Was a Private Gathering

(Beijing, March 28) Chinese actor Liu Haoran, best known for his role in the Detective Chinatown franchise, has recently been at the center of multiple controversies.

Following recent rumors alleging a secret marriage and child with Oscar-winning actress Zhou Dongyu, Liu has now been linked to a new controversy involving alleged visits to a “hostess KTV,” sparking heated online discussion.

The situation began when netizens claimed that Teens in Times member Yan Haoxiang had visited a business KTV, sharing a video believed to be filmed inside a private room. Although Yan did not appear in the footage, some viewers identified two men in the background as Liu Haoran and Guo Qilin.

As Liu is affiliated with a state-backed performing arts troupe, some online commentators argued that he should avoid such venues, intensifying the controversy. However, others pointed out that there is no definitive evidence confirming that the location was indeed a commercial hostess KTV.

In response, Guo Qilin’s team issued a statement through official fan channels, clarifying that the gathering was a private event at a friend’s residence and urging the public to stop spreading rumors.

As of now, Liu Haoran and Yan Haoxiang have not issued any public statements regarding the matter.
