TVB Secures 7 Nominations at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards 2026 — The Queen of News 2 and Goddess Matchmaking Project Both Make the List

(Hong Kong, March 27) The prestigious New York TV & Film Festival will take place on May 21, with nominations recently announced. Broadcaster TVB secured a total of seven nominations across multiple categories.

Among the highlights, Charmaine Sheh and Bosco Wong’s drama The Queen of News 2 was nominated in the drama category, while the variety show Goddess Matching Project earned a nomination in the entertainment category.

Several current affairs programs, including “News Magazine: Hung Fuk Estate Fire” and “News Magazine: Scam Compound Evolution,” were also recognized, alongside promotional entries such as ICAC Investigators 12 trailer and TVB’s Father’s Day campaign. The Miss Hong Kong Pageant finale was nominated for production design/art direction.

At the Creative Industry Innovation Awards held at Hong Kong Chu Hai College, TVB productions also received major accolades. The drama Sparrow Band, starring Shaun Tam and Ali Lee, along with other programs, won multiple innovation awards.

Malaysian singer Zhang Yuchen, who rose to fame after finishing runner-up in Midlife, Sing & Shine! 3, was honored with both the Creative Personality Award and Music Innovation Award.

Celebrating the achievements, several artists including Rosita Kwok attended the ceremony. Zhang expressed his ambition to expand into new areas, even revealing an interest in hosting a food show, saying he hopes to explore more in the culinary world.
