Eddie Cheung’s 21-year-old daughter appears at Art Basel as an intern guide — revealed to be a top student from the University of the Arts London

(Hong Kong, March 28) The globally renowned art event Art Basel Hong Kong is currently in full swing, drawing celebrities and collectors from around the world. Among them, 63-year-old award-winning actor Eddie Cheung made a low-key appearance—not just to admire the art, but to support his daughter Twiggy Cheung, who is working as an intern at the event.

Sharing a video on social media, Cheung expressed visible pride as he watched his daughter in action. Dressed in a professional outfit, Twiggy confidently guided visitors through the exhibition, showcasing poise and knowledge beyond her years. Before leaving, Cheung remarked emotionally, “I don’t want to go, but I don’t want to disturb her work either,” capturing a touching father-daughter moment.

At 21, Twiggy is an accomplished student. She achieved strong results in her GCSE exams and is currently studying Film and Television at University of the Arts London under the London College of Communication. She has already demonstrated her creative talent by co-directing a short film that won awards for Best Editing, Best Sound Design, and Best Supporting Actress.

Her internship at Art Basel offers valuable real-world experience, allowing her to apply her academic knowledge in an international arts setting.

According to Cheung, his daughter is interested in entering the film industry, particularly behind the scenes in areas such as directing, screenwriting, and photography. While some have suggested she consider on-screen roles, she prefers creative work off-camera—a decision her father fully respects.

Despite current challenges in the entertainment industry, Cheung remains supportive, emphasizing that youth is a time for exploration and growth. “If she chooses this path, I’ll support her. There are always many possibilities ahead,” he said.

Known for being a devoted father, Cheung even joked that he doesn’t let his daughter wash dishes to protect her hands. Reflecting on her future, he shared a heartfelt wish: “I hope she meets someone who loves her the way I do—but even if not, her father always will.”
