(Hong Kong, March 31) Veteran Hong Kong artist Lee Ka-ding’s ex-wife, Shi Ming, passed away on March 21 at the age of 74 after failing to recover from pneumonia, drawing widespread condolences.

Lee Ka-ding, also known as “Ding Yeh,” was recently spotted by Hong Kong media outlet East Week alongside his son, Lee Wing-hon, attending a Tibetan Buddhist “New Year Smoke Offering Ceremony” in Sheung Shui.

According to HK01, Lee Wing-hon’s family maintains a close relationship with the Buddhist center, and the father and son were seated near the lamas during the ceremony. Speculation arose that Lee’s attendance might be related to personal health or family matters, though no confirmation has been made regarding any connection to Shi Ming’s condition.

On the day, Lee appeared in a beanie and scarf and participated in the two-hour ritual with full dedication. He was seen carrying offerings and following the lamas around the ceremonial fire, maintaining a solemn and respectful demeanor throughout, without showing signs of fatigue.

In recent years, Lee Ka-ding had experienced significant weight loss of over 9 kilograms due to gastritis and was once hospitalized for blood transfusion treatment. His latest public appearance, however, suggested a notable improvement in his overall condition.
