(Seoul, April 6) K-pop group Super Junior faced another safety incident during their 20th anniversary encore concert. Following a previous on-stage mishap involving member Donghae, a barrier collapse occurred during SUPER SHOW 10 SJ – CORE in SEOUL at KSPO Dome on April 5, injuring three audience members.

SM Entertainment confirmed that the accident happened mid-performance when a side safety railing collapsed for unknown reasons, causing nearby fans to fall from height. Footage of the incident quickly spread online.

Videos show member Ryeowook approaching the audience for interaction when the crowd surged forward, possibly putting pressure on the barrier. Upon witnessing the collapse, he immediately called for assistance and stayed attentive to the injured, even accompanying them to the hospital.

SM Entertainment stated that the injured fans sustained sprains and bruises, requiring approximately two weeks of recovery. The company issued an apology and pledged full medical support.

The agency also emphasized its responsibility as organizer, promising to review venue safety measures and strengthen crowd management to prevent similar incidents.

One of the injured fans later shared an update online, confirming that both Ryeowook and Choi Si-won remained present and supportive throughout, refuting rumors that the artists ignored the situation.

The incident has sparked criticism from fans regarding venue safety, with concerns raised about the structural stability of barriers and crowd control during close-interaction segments.
