Bea Hayden’s father has recently revealed that he is hospitalized, with images from his hospital bed circulating online and drawing renewed public attention.

(Taipei, April 8) The father of Taiwanese actress Bea Hayden Kuo, who was previously rumored to be critically ill, has once again updated the public on his health condition. After earlier clarifying the rumors, he recently revealed that he was hospitalized during the Qingming holiday, citing cardiovascular issues as the reason.

On April 6, he shared a photo from the hospital via his social media account. In the image, he is seen wearing a hospital gown and black-framed glasses, sitting calmly beside his bed. He noted that due to the holiday, the three-bed ward was empty except for him, and mentioned he had requested to switch to a double room if available.

Addressing the cause of his hospitalization, he explained that it was related to cardiovascular concerns and expressed some uncertainty about the outcome, saying he might need to have stents inserted depending on the examination results.

He later added that medical staff informed him his potassium levels were high. He was surprised to learn that foods he regularly consumed—such as cherry tomatoes, low-sodium salt, and low-sodium soy sauce—are actually high in potassium. He also noted that many fruits and dark green vegetables contain significant potassium levels, prompting many netizens to comment that they had learned something new.

Following the news, questions arose about his previous cancer condition. In response, he stated that he is currently not undergoing cancer treatment, though he did not clarify whether this indicates recovery or a pause in treatment.

While he appeared to be in relatively good spirits in the photo, his history of lung cancer has led many to remain concerned about his overall health.
