Louis Koo has continued working despite not fully recovering from an eye condition, drawing attention to his dedication.

(Hong Kong, April 8) Award-winning actor Louis Koo appeared alongside Sonija Kwok, Joyce Tang, Raymond Lam, Kevin Chu, Power Chan, Wong Man Biu, and director Lai Chun Lung at the appreciation screening and special fan event for A Step into the Past Plus+ Multiverse Edition, celebrating the legacy of the iconic series.

Louis Koo shared that since the promotional tour began on January 1, this event would likely mark the final thank-you session for the film. In his signature humorous tone, he joked, “We’re not going to keep doing this until Dragon Boat Festival, right? If it lasts until Christmas, then I’d be impressed!” With the box office nearing the 100 million mark, he expressed hope that audiences would continue their support.

Speaking about the unique experience of watching the drama finale with fans, both Koo and Sonija Kwok admitted it was their first time participating in such an event. Koo even revealed he had been rewatching the series himself, joking about plot details from episode 39, which sparked laughter among attendees.

Sonija Kwok also reminisced about filming the series, recalling how she shot her pregnancy scenes first, leading to long-standing fan curiosity about the storyline. When she playfully asked Koo about it again, he responded with a smile, “There will be an explanation later.”

Joyce Tang shared that she had binge-watched all 39 episodes at home in preparation for the late-night event. When teased about revealing her home, she modestly described it as a simple countryside residence, though Kwok praised it as beautiful.

Addressing concerns about his eye condition, Koo reassured that it would not affect his upcoming film Twilight of the Kowloon Walled City. Kwok jokingly suggested he wear glasses for the role, teasing that it gave off an “uncle vibe,” prompting Koo to humorously reply, “You like ‘uncle’? But I’m not playing one!”

Meanwhile, Koo revealed he was unaware that his new song The Grand Scam of the Century had topped a sales chart, joking that his cat had been promoting it. When Kwok asked why black cats are often associated with him, Koo playfully shot back, keeping the atmosphere light and entertaining.
