Golden Melody Award-winning singer Gary Chaw has recently kicked off his large-scale concert tour “Open Your Ears, Hear Me Out”, with its first stop in Shanghai drawing a full house. After the show, he took to Threads to share clips and photos from the performance.

However, one of his posts quickly went viral for an unexpected reason. While introducing himself, he mistakenly wrote, “I’m Gay Cao Ge,” accidentally typing “Gay” instead of “Gary.” The typo amused fans and sparked a wave of reactions online.

Realizing the mistake, Gary promptly deleted the original post and uploaded a corrected version, joking in the comments, “I missed an ‘R’—must be my aging eyes,” which further entertained his followers.

The “Open Your Ears, Hear Me Out” tour will continue from Shanghai to cities including Guangzhou, Changsha, Chongqing, Beijing, Macau, and Hong Kong.
