(Shenzhen, April 18) Chinese actor Zhang Linghe has seen a surge in popularity following his role in Zhu Yu. On April 17, his scheduled brand appearance in Shenzhen sparked an overwhelming fan turnout—even before he arrived.

The event took place at Qianhai Yifang City, where fans began queuing overnight in hopes of securing the closest possible spot. Photos circulating online show large crowds sitting in orderly lines stretching across the plaza and around street corners. Despite it being a weekday, the venue was already packed with over a dozen rows of fans before opening hours.

Inside the mall, the scene was equally intense. The main stage area was secured with multiple barriers, while every level—from ground floor to upper corridors and escalators—was filled with fans lining the railings. Overhead shots revealed dense crowds forming what many described as “walls of people.”

Due to Zhang’s immense popularity, more than ten security personnel were reportedly deployed to manage the crowd. For safety reasons, organizers kept event details relatively low-key, limiting official announcements. However, fan enthusiasm far exceeded expectations. Although the event was rumored to begin at 4 PM, the venue already resembled a live show by early morning.
