(Cupertino, 5th) Apple has unveiled another new product following three consecutive days of announcements—the all-new MacBook Neo. Positioned as the most affordable MacBook to date, it is listed at RM2,499 on the Malaysian website.

In terms of design, the MacBook Neo weighs approximately 1.22 kg and comes in four colors: silver, pink, orange, and indigo—making it one of the most vibrant MacBook lineups ever released.

Powering the device is the A18 Pro chip, the same class of chip used in flagship iPhones. Compared to popular PCs running Intel Core Ultra 5 processors, it delivers up to 50% faster performance in everyday tasks like web browsing, and up to 3× faster speeds in on-device AI workloads such as advanced photo processing.

The laptop features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2408×1506, 500 nits of brightness, and support for 1 billion colors. Apple claims it outperforms most laptops in the same price range in both brightness and resolution.

For multimedia, it includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera with enhanced image processing for clearer video calls. The dual side-firing speakers support spatial audio and Dolby Atmos, offering a more immersive entertainment experience.

In terms of connectivity, the MacBook Neo is equipped with two USB-C ports for accessories and external displays, retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, and supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6 for faster wireless connectivity.

Overall, the device strikes a strong balance between affordability, performance, and design, expanding the reach of the MacBook lineup to a broader audience.
