(Beijing, April 23) Chinese actor Zhou Mo (real name: He Zhihong), 27, recently confirmed that he has suffered a cerebral infarction, specifically an infarction in the right cerebellar hemisphere, drawing widespread concern.

According to reports, Zhou revealed in a video that his diagnosis includes a right cerebellar infarction and a possible lacunar infarction in the left side of the brainstem. He admitted, “You only realize how important health is when you actually fall ill.”

He shared that he was still actively filming in September 2025 and even met up with friends the following month, but his condition deteriorated soon after. “I never imagined this would happen at 27. It feels like my life has been paused,” he said, recalling spending his birthday in a wheelchair for the first time.

Zhou is currently experiencing facial numbness, difficulty speaking, and impaired balance. He relies on a wheelchair for mobility and is undergoing rehabilitation to regain control of his body.

Reflecting on the early signs, Zhou said he first noticed something was wrong during a haircut. He even had the thought, “At least I took many photos before.” During moments of anxiety at night, he would send photos to his sister, while his mother encouraged him to accept reality. “Sleeping is my favorite thing now—at least I feel normal in my dreams,” he shared.

Zhou admitted that prolonged late nights were a major contributing factor, as he initially mistook his symptoms for a common cold and did not seek medical attention. Although he was diagnosed as early as February, he only chose to go public recently.

At present, he is still recovering. He struggles with balance when standing, finds speaking difficult, and cannot sing as he used to. Standing at 185 cm tall, Zhou clarified that his current weight is around 48 kg—not 30 kg as previously reported.

Despite the challenges, he remains determined to recover and urged the public: “Seek medical help immediately if something feels wrong. Don’t push through it. Get enough rest, drink less, smoke less, and take care of your health.”

Fans have flooded social media with supportive messages, encouraging him to stay strong and wishing him a steady recovery.
